Emily grew up in Saline, Michigan where she danced competitively at Dance Alliance as well as on her high school’s dance team. She has extensive training in Ballet/Pointe, Jazz, Kick line, Lyrical, Tap, and Pom. Emily earned her bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University where she danced for two years on the MSU Elite Competitive Dance Team and one year on the MSU Ballroom Dance Team. She worked as a UDA Staff Member and as a local dance teacher prior to joining KIO! staff in 2020. Emily earned her master’s degree from MSU and is a speech-language pathologist working with school-aged children. She is thrilled to share her passion for dance at KIO! as an instructor for our recreational and competitive dance programs.
