Erika has been dancing since the age of three, she has training in Ballet, Acrobatics, Musical Theater, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Pom. Erika is a graduate of Plainwell High School, where she was the captain of the first Plainwell High School Dance Team. She won the Excellence in Leadership plaque and was nominated to join the National Dance Team through the National Dance Association. She has stunting and Acrobatic safety certification and 7 years of training in gymnastics as well as 5 years of gymnastics instruction experience. She has 10 years of dancing competitively and 2022-2023 is her 5th year as a competitive instructor with Kick It Out! Dance Studio. Erika has a National Champion duet routine from 2018 as well as 2 Excellence in Choreography plaques from the 2022 competitive season, in addition to several Overall Award-Winning routines in multiple ages, genres, and ability levels.

Erika is also a Michigan State University Graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and English where she also had the pleasure of being a guest performer with the MSU Dance Team and trained with the people who started the Pom Team for MSU. She also has a Masters Degree in Business Administration and Project Management from Cornerstone University. She is super excited to teach, choreograph, and collaborate with the incredible Team Members and students of Kick It Out! Dance Studio for the 2022-2023 season!
