Learn To Play an Instrument or Sing
We are happy to offer private and group lessons for Beginner to Advanced Piano, Guitar, Drums/Percussion, Trombone, Beginner to Advanced Violin, Vocals, Beginning Ukulele, and Bass Guitar. We offer lessons for ages 6 thru Adult. We also offer Music Theory and Composition instruction as well.
Best way to learn music is with one-on-one, private instruction. Each lesson is tailored individually, for the way the student learns best. We take into account age, experience, personality, and learning style. We teach ages 6 – adult! It’s never “too late” to learn how to play music. We offer music lessons for students of all ages and abilities, from beginners to very advanced students. We offer every style of lessons from classical to jazz and pop.

Every art form compels you to create with your imagination. The same is the case with music. You develop your ability to think beyond the realities in front of you. Your problem-solving techniques become more innovative and experimental.

You need to recognize different lyrics, tones, and sounds. Thus, in the process of learning music, you enhance your reasoning skills, phonetics, and knowledge of the language. Learning all this new information and remembering them naturally sharpens your memory and intellect.

About Evan Gedert
Evan Gedert is a composer, pianist, and percussionist from Michigan. Evan began his journey into the world of music with piano lessons as a child, then joining band class in middle school, where he learned how to play various percussion instruments. Later Evan attended Central Michigan University where he achieved a degree in Music Composition and Percussion Performance, expanding his repertoire by writing and performing many compositions.
As a composer, Evan has had his work performed in states such as New York and Michigan, as well as a film score premiering in a theater in southeast Michigan. Evan also performs around Michigan, participating in groups like the Central Michigan Area Concert Band, the Gaylord Orchestra, Eternal Music Ensemble, and more. Evan’s passion for learning extends to teaching, where he has served as a private music instructor, a substitute teacher for Mount Pleasant Community Schools, and has taught as a percussion instructor for high school band camps.
He is a lover of nature and animals, spending his free time hiking, camping, and building plant ecospheres.
About Jazlyn Dingfelder
I started attending Theatre Young Harris in 2017 – being one of the strongest performance programs in the southeast – and added techniques, principles, and etiquette to my tool belt that has served me well in the professional world.
Being equally trained in Dance, Theatrical Performance, and Vocal Performance, Young Harris provided optimal opportunities for me to learn through hands-on experience. In my 4 years at Young Harris, I had the privilege of performing in 7 shows. I graduated with my BFA in Musical Theatre in 2021, taking my place in the 75% employment placement rate that Young Harris boasts. On the day of undergrad graduation, itself, I was on a plane across the country to perform in my first professional contract.
I am happy to be a Beginner/Advanced Vocal instructor at KIO along with Dance, and Drama/Theatre.

About Jody Krumm
Jody has played musical instruments since he was 8 years old. He plays 5 different instruments as well as sings. He played through all of his years of schooling and into college. He comes from a very musical family who all play instruments.
He has been a part of several local bands. As well as played a few years with the Lansing Concert Band. Jody attended several music camps at Blue Lake and Interlochen. Has knowledge and experience in jazz as well.
Jody is always learning new instruments for example Ukulele, which is his newest and currently favorite instrument to practice.
