Taylor Nitz is a graduate from Byron Center High School and currently a student at Michigan State University where she studies Communications with a minor in Arts and Cultural Management. She has been dancing from the age of 3 at Dorr Dance Academy, as well as being the only freshman to compete on the Byron Center Varsity Dance Team. She has training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip-hop, Lyrical, Pom and Musical Theater. Taylor has competed within the studio dance competition world and the NDA competition world, as well as working on the other side of competitions while working at the Van Singel Fine Arts Center. Outside of dance, Taylor also has extensive musical theater training. She has been a part of many musicals throughout school and community productions, as well as training vocally with Curt Hansen, who had a 14-year Broadway career, including the role of Fiyero in WICKED. She was also a part of Byron Center High School’s advanced women’s chorus, Bella Voce, and advanced chamber ensemble, Vocal Expressions.

Taylor is so excited to be able to pursue her passion of performance at KIO! and to be able to work with so many amazing kids.
