Discover the Joy of Dance
Sensory Dance Movement Classes 2025-2026
At KIO Dance Studio, our Sensory Dance Movement Classes are thoughtfully designed for individuals who experience sensory sensitivities and prefer a calm, structured environment. These classes offer a gentle approach to movement, focusing on creating a soothing and supportive space where participants can explore dance and self-expression at their own pace. With soft lighting, low music volume, and a predictable class structure, the environment is intentionally low-stimulation to reduce overwhelm and support regulation. Guided by experienced instructors trained in sensory-aware and adaptive movement, each class includes slow, grounding exercises, mindful breathing, and the use of sensory-friendly props such as soft scarves and textured bands. Whether your child is neurodivergent, has sensory processing challenges, or simply benefits from a quieter pace, our classes nurture confidence, creativity, and connection through movement—always honoring individual comfort and choice.
Classes begin Monday September 8th, 2025!!
We do offer a Competitive Sensory Dance Program, if interested reach out to us!
We have a Studio Dance Program, not Recreational dance, meaning we value our studio dancers, everyone gets the same high level dance training and fun, no one is more valuable.
